Antitrust Counsel

Attorney for our Washington, DC office with eight to ten years’ of antitrust experience working in private practice with experience at either the Department of Justice or the Federal Trade Commission.  Candidate will work closely with attorneys throughout the firm on a variety of antitrust matters including counseling, trade, merger review, and government investigations.  Candidates should have substantial experience with counseling clients on regulatory antitrust matters and filings.  Experience with litigation is a plus.  Opportunity to gain significant responsibility and direct exposure to clients.  All candidates should have excellent academic credentials and references.  This is an hourly, independent consulting position.

Appellate Attorney/Consulting Counsel

Department of Commerce Analyst

Department of Commerce (DOC) analyst for our Washington, DC office with a minimum of three years’ experience reviewing antidumping matters before the DOC to join our highly regarded International Trade practice to provide analysis on antidumping matters.  Applicants with excellent SAS programming, high attention to detail, and analytical skills are sought to assume responsibility in our nationally recognized practice group.  All applicants should have excellent references and academic background.

International Trade Staff Attorney

International Trade Practice Manager/Staff Attorney

This Staff Attorney position for the International Trade Group is designed to serve in both a legal and project management capacity.  Responsibilities will include legal research, analysis of procedural issues and case management skills including specialized knowledge in international trade related courts and agencies.  As an integral member of the practice, the Staff Attorney will function as the day-to-day practice manager and will design and implement case management plans for this busy practice, including project staffing and logistics, and supervise the general work-flow of the paralegal, administrative, and records staff.   The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to lead and motivate a large team, and a strong orientation toward process improvement and efficiency.

A JD is required and membership in the DC bar (or eligibility to waive in) is highly preferred.  Candidates should have demonstrated experience with performing complex cite-checking, legal research, and data analysis and have an aptitude for the MS Office Platform and willingness to learn new tools.

Ideal candidates will possess substantive experience with International Trade matters, including, but not limited to knowledge of filing procedures before the Department of Commerce and International Trade Commission; administrative protective orders (APOs); OFAC regulations, and current events.  Related experience with other regulatory or litigation practices considered with high degree of familiarity with court/agency rules, procedures and case/project management experience may be considered.

TMT Litigation and Appellate Associate 

Junior to mid-level associate for our Washington, DC office with 3-5 years of litigation experience to join our highly regarded Telecom, Media and Technology practice.  Academically distinguished applicants who have excellent writing and analytical skills are sought to assume responsibility in an active and growing practice.  We are particularly interested in candidates with district court or appellate clerkships as well as district court litigation or appellate experience.  The associate will have the opportunity to immediately gain significant responsibility in all aspects of litigation including, pre-trial preparation, motions practice, discovery, as well as drafting pleadings and briefs.  The firm’s TMT litigation practice, composed of former Supreme Court of the United States, federal court of appeals, and district court clerks, possesses an in-depth knowledge of communications law, administrative, trial, and appellate procedure and litigates matters in federal and state courts across the country.
