Michael Toner Discusses Latest Fundraising Trends

Financial Times
October 16, 2014

Michael E. Toner, co-chair of Wiley Rein’s Election Law & Government Ethics Practice, was quoted in an October 10 Financial Times article that discussed recent fundraising efforts by President Barack Obama to assist Democratic candidates as well as the latest trends in fundraising at the federal level.

“Candidates increasingly have to focus on the fact that they have the potential to be outspent by (the Super PACs),” observed Mr. Toner, a former chairman of the Federal Election Commission (FEC).
