Experienced Litigator Joins WRF’s Expanding Insurance Practice

Wiley Rein & Fielding LLP is pleased to announce that Anne McBride Walker has joined the firm's insurance and litigation practices as Of Counsel. Ms. Walker's arrival further enhances the capabilities of one of the largest and most prominent insurance law practices in the United States.

Ms. Walker, an experienced litigator, counsels and represents insurers on various professional liability issues, including directors and officers liability. She has extensive litigation experience in a variety of complex commercial matters, including products liability and antitrust.

Ms. Walker joins the firm from Arnold & Porter LLP, where she participated in the joint defense of a multibillion dollar Civil RICO action against the tobacco industry. In addition, she has experience handling international arbitration involving commercial contract disputes and all aspects of pre-trial and trial preparation, including discovery, pleadings, witness preparation and oral argument. Ms. Walker has also counseled clients on various antitrust issues and litigation matters.

WRF's insurance practice handles coverage dispute resolution, bad faith and market conduct litigation, property insurance issues, professional liability, insurance fraud issues, litigation management and claims counseling and reinsurance. More than half of the firm's 250 attorneys are litigators, representing clients in trial courts across the country, in state and federal appellate courts, in the U.S. Supreme Court, in international forums and in proceedings before a variety of administrative tribunals.

Ms. Walker received her J.D., cum laude, from the Georgetown University Law Center, where she served as the Notes and Comments Editor of the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics.
