FCBA Honors the Distinguished Career of Henry M. Rivera

November 18, 2009

On November 16, the Federal Communications Bar Association (FCBA) honored Wiley Rein partner Henry M. Rivera for his substantial contributions to the communications bar.  Rivera, an internationally recognized legal authority, author and public speaker, offered a few words of insight on his distinguished career during the event.

Rivera, a former FCC commissioner and past-president of the FCBA, has more than 36 years of experience representing clients in a wide range of business transactions, including telecommunications and telecommunications-related bankruptcies.  His practice focuses largely on counseling clients on observance of FCC rules, and he advises international clients on regulatory and political issues stemming from regulation and privatization matters.

Wiley Rein Managing Partner and chair of its preeminent Communications Practice, Richard E. Wiley, commented, "Henry's impressive career and his numerous contributions to the industry are matched by his commitment to his community.  He is well deserving of this recognition."

The reception also honored Washington lawyers John Blake and Judith Harris.
