Lawdragon Names Nineteen Wiley Rein Partners to Its "Leading Lawyers" Guide

Wiley Rein managing partner Richard E. Wiley and partners Laura A. Foggan, Lawrence W. Secrest, III, R. Michael Senkowski, Helgi C. Walker and James H. Wallace, Jr. have been named to Lawdragon's list of "500 Leading Lawyers in America." 

Describing Mr. Wiley, the publication said his "name is as big as the clients he represents in the telecommunications field, including Verizon and AT&T." Singling out Insurance Appellate Group chair Laura Foggan's work in areas such as Section 111 Medicare reporting, tainted drywall, global warming and nanotechnology, Lawdragon said she is "a mainstay for insurers in complex coverage disputes." Telecommunications Group chair Michael Senkowski was called "the top dog of the nation's premier telecom practice" and "remains as sought after as ever for complicated FCC issues." Helgi Walker-co-chair of the firm's Appellate and Communications Litigation groups-is "tops in communications law," with the publication singling out her successful appeal of "the FCC's first 'net neutrality' decision for client Comcast after the agency sanctioned the company for denying bandwidth to users." Lawdragon dubbed Intellectual Property Practice chair James Wallace "an IP litigation heavyweight," citing his work in the BlackBerry patent dispute and Cross Atlantic Capital Partners' patent case against Facebook. The publication also recognized Communications Practice partner and former FCC deputy general counsel Lawrence W. Secrest, calling him the "ultimate insider in the media regulation arena."
