Alan Price Named by U.S. Chamber of Commerce to Independent Experts Group Focusing on Global Competition and Trade Policy

Washington, DCAlan H. Price, partner and chair of Wiley Rein’s International Trade Practice, was recently named by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to a diverse group of leading experts commissioned to consider the challenges presented by globally divergent approaches to antitrust and the interface between competition policy and trade policy. After its deliberations, the group will issue a series of recommendations for how the United States should approach these challenges.

This independent, 15-member group is expected to seek outside input from a range of interests before issuing its recommendations by the end of January 2017. Members of the group include a deep bench of legal experts and scholars with extensive government experience. Recognized internationally for his leadership and deep experience in trade remedy and policy issues, Mr. Price has 30 years of experience representing clients in high-profile, complex international trade regulatory matters. In addition to serving as chair of Wiley Rein’s International Trade Practice, he heads the firm’s antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) practice. He is lead international trade counsel to Nucor, the largest and most diversified steel producer in the United States, and also serves as lead counsel to the Wind Tower Trade Coalition in U.S. AD and CVD cases involving renewable energy products.
