STATE AND LOCAL LAW COMPLIANCE COUNSELING
Wiley Rein attorneys regularly advise clients on the growing number of state and local laws that regulate campaign contributors, political advocacy, lobbying, ethics and ballot access. We prepare annual state-by-state manuals on campaign finance, lobbying, ethics and so-called pay-to-play laws, as well as laws regarding employer accommodations for voting. We also advise clients regarding municipal ordinances. We provide guidance around the country on complying with these changing rules, including restrictions on certain forms of mass media, contracting with vendors and similar legal matters. In addition, our attorneys review required campaign reports for local, state and federal campaign committees, as well as those for ballot measure committees and Political Action Committees (PACs).
