Employment & Labor Special Counsel

Wiley Rein LLP currently seeks an experienced employment attorney to join our Employment practice. This role will work directly with the practice leader on a variety of employment and non-employment issues, such as general business strategy and legal compliance.  Qualified candidates will have at least six years’ experience in employment counseling, negotiating, and litigation.  Academically distinguished candidates with experience in one or more of following areas are encouraged to apply: counseling on general employment issues (FLSA, ADA, FMLA, discrimination); noncompetition and trade secrets; wage and hour; and employment and separation agreements. Experience working in a nationally recognized employment and labor firm is preferred. All applicants should have excellent academic credentials and references. Please note that this is a non-partnership track position with an 1,800 billable hour requirement.

Environment & Safety Associate

Associate for our Washington, DC office with 2 – 4 years of experience in regulatory environmental, hazardous materials or consumer product regulatory matters to join our highly-regarded Environment & Safety practice.  Ideal candidates will have pesticides, chemicals, air, hazardous materials, product stewardship, or consumer product regulatory experience, including related litigation.  Academically distinguished applicants who have excellent writing and communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines are sought to assume responsibility in our nationally recognized practice group.

International Trade Associate

Associate for our Washington, DC office with at least 2 -3 years of export controls, OFAC/economic sanctions, customs, and/or CFIUS experience to join our nationally recognized International Trade practice.  Academically distinguished applicants who have excellent writing and communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines are sought to assume a client-facing role with significant responsibility. 

Litigation Associate

Associate for our Washington, DC office with 1 – 3 years of experience in litigation (including research, discovery, and motions practice) to join our Litigation practice.   Seeking academically distinguished applicants with strong brief writing and oral advocacy skills.  Federal clerkship preferred.  Korean language proficiency a plus.  All applicants should have excellent references. 

White Collar Associate

Associate for our Washington, DC office with 3 - 4 years of experience in Government and Congressional investigations, False Claims Act, civil enforcement matters, and/or litigation to join our highly-regarded White Collar practice. Qualified candidates must have prior prosecutorial or Government investigations experience.  District clerkship and/or appellate clerkship preferred.   Academically distinguished applicants who have excellent writing and analytical skills, high attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines are sought to assume a client-facing role with significant responsibility.
