Comment Dates Set in Indecency Proceeding
The Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) Public Notice (PN) seeking comment on whether changes should be made to the Commission's current broadcast indecency policies was published in the Federal Register on April 19, 2013.
Comments are due May 20, 2013.
Reply Comments are due June 18, 2013.
A detailed explanation of the PN can be found here. Notably, the FCC asked for comment on the extent to which "fleeting expletives" should be actionable, and whether isolated (non-sexual) nudity should be treated the same as or differently from isolated expletives.
