Wiley Rein's Daniel Pickard Says Commerce Department's Decision to Terminate New Shipper Review of Chinese Sawblade Manufacturer Was Correct
Daniel Pickard, a partner in the International Trade Practice, was quoted commenting on a decision by the U.S. Department of Commerce to terminate a new shipper review for Chinese sawblade manufacturer Pujiang Talent Diamond Tools Co. Ltd. The company has since filed a lawsuit challenging the decision. The review could have given Pujiang a lower antidumping rate. “We believe the Department of Commerce was absolutely correct in its determination to terminate the new shipper review for Pujiang Talent, and we are fully confident that Commerce’s determination will be upheld by the Court of International Trade after review,” Mr. Pickard—an attorney for the Diamond Sawblades Manufacturers Coalition—said.
