No Time to Waste in Filing Reports: Georgia and Illinois

Due to recent changes, some lobbyist reports in Illinois and Georgia will be due very early in 2011.

In Illinois, lobbying entities—lobbying firms or employers—must file their first semimonthly report for 2011 by January 20, 2011—covering the period of January 1–15.

In Georgia, state-level lobbyists must file semimonthly reports while the Georgia state legislature is in session. The first such report in 2011, for the time period of January 1–14, 2011, is due by January 15, 2011.
