EPA Launches Greener Products Portal

On September 20, 2011, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) launched its “Greener Products” portal at www.epa.gov/greenerproducts.  This portal is a tool for consumers, retailers, manufacturers, and institutional purchasers and provides information on EPA programs that identify green products. 

Consumers can use the portal to find “environmentally friendly” products, including those with EPA's Energy Star label, WaterSense products and cleaning products that are better for the environment and public health.  For manufacturers, the portal offers standards and criteria for designing more environmentally friendly products.

The portal has information on a wide variety of products including appliances, automotive products, building products, cleaning products, electronics, food service products and appliances, industrial products, interior products, landscape products and services, and office products and supplies.
