Chambers USA Names Wiley Rein's Privacy Practice and Partner John Reynolds Industry Leaders

June 21, 2007

The 2007 edition of Chambers USA:  America’s Leading Lawyers for Business recognizes Wiley Rein’s Privacy Practice as one of the best in Washington, DC, and names partner John B. Reynolds III a “Leading Lawyer” in the industry.

Serving a wide range of domestic and international clients from a variety of industries, Wiley Rein’s Privacy practice is active in an array of matters, Chambers notes, including conducting privacy audits, analyzing compliance, risk management and business strategy issues and assisting with government or regulatory investigations.  The publisher reports that the group’s “work also includes developing and implementing privacy and security policies and drafting Safe Harbor policies, certifications and privacy protection contracts.”

Clients extol “Leading Lawyer” John Reynolds—whose practice includes advising on international privacy law, including EU privacy directives and the US Safe Harbor program—for “his sophisticated expertise in telecom security.”

The Chambers ratings are based on extensive interviews of law firms’ clients, colleagues and competitors.  Inclusion is determined through a rigorous vetting process whereby Chambers researchers evaluate law firms and attorneys on a number of factors.  This is the first year in which the field of Privacy & Data Security was included in the directory.
