Chambers USA Names Wiley Rein's Environment & Safety Practice Chair David B. Weinberg a "Leading Lawyer"

June 18, 2008

The 2008 edition of Chambers USA:  America’s Leading Lawyers for Business has named Wiley Rein’s Environment & Safety Practice chair David B. Weinberg as one of Washington DC’s Leading Lawyers in this field.

Described to Chambers as “a pragmatic lawyer with a tremendous knowledge of pesticide law,” Mr. Weinberg is praised for his “businesslike approach” and “understanding of the policy and lobbying aspects of environmental law.”  The publisher notes, “His practice encompasses representing manufacturers in regulatory disputes and in disputes with environmentalists concerning the impact of pesticide use.  He also handles product stewardship issues for clients in the electronics and batteries industries.”

Mr. Weinberg has more than 30 years of experience and has been listed for over a dozen years in The Best Lawyers in America, rated by the Euromoney Legal Media Group as one of the world's leading environmental lawyers and named one of “America’s top 20 environmental lawyers” by the Guide to the World's Leading Environment Lawyers.

The Chambers ratings are based on extensive interviews of law firms’ clients, colleagues and competitors.  Inclusion in the directory is determined through a rigorous vetting process whereby Chambers researchers evaluate law firms and attorneys on a number of factors.
