International Telecommunications Ambassador David A. Gross Joins Wiley Rein
Wiley Rein LLP is pleased to announce that former Ambassador David A. Gross, the U.S. Coordinator for International Communications and Information Policy, will join the firm on March 16 as a partner in its preeminent Communications Practice. A foremost expert on international telecommunications, Amb. Gross comes to the firm after serving for nearly eight years as the senior United States government official responsible for representing the U.S. on global telecommunications issues. During his lengthy tenure, he led more U.S. delegations to major international telecommunication conferences than anyone in modern history.
At Wiley Rein, Amb. Gross will bring to bear his extensive understanding of worldwide market issues and his unparalleled experience in dealing with decision-makers in other countries around the globe. Amb. Gross joins the firm's veteran team of telecommunications professionals-including partners Richard Wiley, former Chairman of the FCC, and Nancy Victory, former Administrator of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA)-in providing comprehensive counseling on global telecommunications issues. In particular, he will enhance the firm's expertise in assisting U.S. and foreign entities which seek to establish or expand international business opportunities.
Said Managing Partner Richard Wiley, "We are delighted to welcome David Gross to Wiley Rein. He is a brand-name in the international telecommunications arena, and his considerable experience and sterling reputation on the world stage make him a perfect fit with our group of experts."
Amb. Gross commented, "I am excited to be joining Wiley Rein, as it is widely and correctly known as the largest and most diverse communications law practice in the world."
