Laura El-Sabaawi to Moderate WHTC Policy Discussion on Tech, Trade, and Tariffs

Washington, DC—Laura El-Sabaawi, partner in Wiley Rein’s leading International Trade Practice, will moderate a Women’s High-Tech Coalition (WHTC) event – “Tech, Trade & Tariffs: A Policy Discussion” – on September 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., in Wiley Rein’s Main Conference Center at 1776 K Street NW in Washington.

The complimentary reception, hosted by the WHTC and The Women’s High-Tech Caucus, will feature panel speakers Sarah Babbage, Legislative Analyst at Bloomberg Government; Christin Fernandez, vice president for communications at Retail Industry Leaders Association; Bijou Mgbojikwe, intellectual property policy counsel at the Entertainment Software Association; and Julie Stitzel, managing director of Chamber Technology Engagement Center at the U.S Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. El-Sabaawi represents clients in a variety of international trade matters, including antidumping and countervailing duty cases, other trade remedy investigations, and export controls compliance programs. Wiley Rein’s International Trade Practice, recognized by Chambers USA as one of the country’s elite international trade practices, advises clients in domestic and international trade regulation matters, market access issues, and dispute resolution.

Megan L. Brown, a cybersecurity authority and partner in Wiley Rein’s Telecom, Media & Technology Practice, is also a WHTC board member and has participated in prior events, including “Lawyering in Tech – A Discussion with Women General Counsels” in April 2018.
