November 11, 2019

Washington, DC—Wiley Rein LLP earned a top spot on Washington Business Journal’s “Corporate Philanthropy” list for Midsize Companies – as measured by DC metro-area giving – for the fifth year in a row.

Ranked No. 3 in a list of 15 companies in the greater DC area, Wiley Rein was the only law firm to secure a top rating in the “Midsize” category, defined as companies in the region with 100 to 999 employees.

Wiley Rein gave $1.02 million in donations to Washington, DC-area charities and, in total, contributed $1.17 million to more than 400 charitable organizations nationwide. The firm also received top rankings in the midsize company list for employee volunteer hours and the list of top law firms by pro bono hours.

Wiley Rein prides itself on a strong tradition of service to the local and global community and encourages its lawyers and legal assistants to participate in pro bono activities. Wiley Rein staff and attorneys also assist the local community in a number of other ways, including annual fundraisers and other community service events.

The Washington Business Journal’s “Corporate Philanthropists” list honors businesses in the Greater Washington area based upon prior-year results. Categories on the list, compiled by the Journal, are organized by local giving (dollars), volunteer hours, and pro bono hours for law firms.
